Welcome!

To the remarkable residents who make up Franklin County,

Welcome to the 2025 State of the County Report, an opportunity to see how bold ideas, dedicated leadership, and community partnerships are shaping a brighter future for Franklin County. Thank you for joining us as we reflect on a transformative year in Franklin County and share the work your county government is doing to serve, support, and uplift every resident. As Franklin County continues to grow and evolve, this report highlights the intentional steps we’re taking to ensure that progress reaches every corner of our community.

This report reflects the unwavering commitment of our employees, partners, and community stakeholders. It not only outlines the ongoing challenges we face but also highlights the proactive, innovative approaches we are implementing to address them head-on.

Throughout 2024, we continued to make impactful investments in affordable housing, public health, food security, and workforce development. With an annual operating budget exceeding $2 billion, Franklin County remains deeply committed to responsible stewardship and strategic initiatives that uplift our residents and strengthen the fabric of our community.

We also launched new efforts to bring county government closer to the people we serve, introducing the Board of Commissioners’ mobile units, hosting informational meetings, and organizing community fairs that offer direct access to vital services. From health screenings and housing support to job training and small business resources, we are working to meet residents where they are, ensuring that help is not only available but also accessible.

Our work is rooted in a belief that government should be responsive, accessible, and accountable to all. Throughout this report, you’ll find stories of impact, innovation, and resilience, from infrastructure improvements and public safety enhancements to our continuing focus on equity and community wellness. As always, our guiding values remain the same: to serve Every Resident, Every Day.
